Bottlebrush (Callistemon sp)
This timber was obtained from my own garden and is a dense and heavy timber that, when first cut, was a wonderful dark red colour but which dried to this attractive caramel colour.
The grain in this Bottlebrush is attractive and shows some chatoyance.
About This Design
Made on the same barrel as the 'Executive' design, the "Sierra' features a more traditional style of rounded end finial as well as a different clip and centreband.
It uses a simple twist mechanism and presents beautifully in its faux leather case making for a beautiful and practical gift.
