A beautiful box handmade in Western Australia. The box features a beautifully figured panel of Jarrah in the lid which displays wonderful chatoyancy. The lid is hinged such that it stops at just over 90 degrees.
The box inner base and tray is lined with lovely suede fabric in a 'stone' colour. The tray is divided into three sections, one of which is fitted with rolls which are suited to storing rings or cuff-links. The lower section is also divided into three sections.
Its dimensions are 290 mm x 175 mm x 118 mm high. The box pictured is the one being purchased.
With its beautiful rich colours interesting grain and occasional gum veins, Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata) remains one of the world’s most desirable and sought after hardwoods. The tree grows to a majestic 40 metres in height only in the south west corner of Western Australia.
