This beautiful and unique box features highly figured Marri timber on the ends with Jarrah timber used elsewhere. It features a frame and panel lid and exposed dowels in contrasting timber as a very attractive feature element.
The inner base is lined with a Burgundy coloured fabric. Its measurements are 280 mm long x 190 wide x 105 mm high. The internal compartment is 240 x 145 x 70 mm high.
The box has been hand-finished using Danish oil and Carnauba wax.
Marri is a light coloured hardwood unique to Western Australia. Usually contains gum veins, and is commonly known in WA as ‘Redgum’. When converted to lumber, the gum dries black and provides a unique feature to this warm honey coloured timber.
