A very useful and attractive box handmade in Western Australia by Chris Busby. The body of the box is in shimmering Victorian Blackwood and is complemented by a beautiful panel of Oak Burl veneer in the top.
The inner lid section featured book matched American cherry veneer that that has been lightly stained black. The lid is hinged such that it stops at just over 90 degrees.
The box features decorative corner keys and the inner base is lined with attractive and hard wearing suede fabric. There are no dividers or tray, thereby providing a large storage space. The box is traditionally finished with shellac and carnauba wax.
Its measurements are a generous 300 mm x 185 mm and it stands 105 mm high. The box pictured is the one being purchased.
