Another of my larger sized and very functional boxes that will suit any male or female and serve to store any number of different items.
The very attractive and unique lid panel features a centre piece of spectacular Silky Oak veneer bordered by Camphor Laurel. A stunning combination of timbers!
The inner lid is Mahogany veneer and also very attractive.
The inner bases of the box and tray are lined with quality upholstery grade fabric.
The specialist box hinges hold the lid open at a little over 90 degrees to obviate the need for intrusive lid stays.
The box measures 300x185 millimetres and is 90 millimetres in height.

With its beautiful rich colours, interesting grain and occasional gum veins, Jarrah remains one of the world’s most desirable and sought after hardwoods. The tree grows to a majestic 40 metres in height only in the south west corner of Western Australia.
Silky Oak is a medium-density hardwood known for its distinctive, lacy grain pattern which can range from pink to yellow or brown. It is prized for decorative veneer, fine furniture and woodturning. The tonal qualities of Silky Oak also makes it suitable for musical instruments.
