Jarrah and Black Bean General Purpose Box

Handmade in Western Australia by Chris Busby. The box features a very attractive Jarrah case and a lid panel of uncommon Black Bean Timber veneer.
The inner base of the box is lined with upholstery grade faux suede fabric that will prove as long-lasting as it is attractive.
The lid is hinged such that it stops at just over 90 degrees and the overall dimensions of the box are 270 x 195 x 80 mm in height.

JARRAH Eucalyptus marginata)
With its beautiful rich colours, interesting grain and occasional gum veins, Jarrah remains one of the world’s most desirable and sought after hardwoods. The tree grows to a majestic 40 metres in height only in the south west corner of Western Australia.
BLACK BEAN (Castanospermum austral)
Black Bean is a tall tree reaching a height of 40 metres. It can be found in rainforests along Australia’s East Coast ranging from New South Wales to Far North Queensland. The heartwood colour ranges from dark brown to chocolate shades, deepening to almost black. Access to this tree is strictly controlled and is therefore only available in limited quantities
