"Live Edge" Jarrah Serving Board

A unique smaller board perfectly suited to serving cheeses and similar foods. The two long sides feature live edges which are actually the outer part of a log where the bark was. The colour will usually differ as it consists of sapwood and will also be irregular in shape.
The piece of timber for this board had one live edge and so was cut and rejoined to provide the natural edges on both sides.
The finish is a combination of pure mineral oil and bees wax. This finish is completely safe for food boards and serving implements. It is odorless and tasteless and will not go rancid like many types of oils found in the kitchen.
The board is 340 x 170 mm in size.
